MBS Audit

We are a creative team of accountants specialising in assisting small organisations in maximising their potential.

We have a particular expertise in providing audit services to small Credit Unions; financial co-operatives regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). More popularly known as the "poor man's bank", Credit Unions are required to have their annual accounts audited by qualified auditors. The Auditor then reports to the members of the Credit Union whether the accounts prepared by management represents a true and fair view of the organisation's state of affairs and profit or loss for the period.

MBS Audit is authorised by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) to carry out statutory audits as Registered Auditors.

Our Team

MBS is headed up by an FCCA who has over 20 years experience in public practice. Sheldon Woodley FCCA, a former partner in PKF (Trinidad), was responsible for the audit of more than 20 Credit Unions in Trinidad including Eastern Credit Union and The Police Services Credit Union. His duties involved assessing and advising on improvements to systems of Internal Controls, reporting audit findings to Boards of Directors and attending AGMs - addressing the members and fielding questions.

Also included in MBS team is Marlene Woodley AAT. Marlene worked in the Accounts Department of Eastern Credit Union, the largest in Trinidad and Tobago with over 100,000 members, for over 10 years before joining Sheldon in London. Her main duties included preparing management reports for the monthly Board of Directors meetings, reconciling inter-branch accounts and special projects such as the Travel Services. Marlene is a part-qualified accountant and expects to be fully qualified shortly.
